I am a life long Delco resident. I grew up in Darby, live in Ridley, and built my business in Media. I fell into the insurance industry right out of college. I have experience all over the industry, spending time as a broker, a project manager at an insure-tech, and then as a sales manager for an insurance carrier before opening Risk Averse in 2015. I am passionate about small business, and the energy that business owners bring. The thing I love most about my work is interacting with business owners who face similar challenges. I’m a student of entrepreneurship and spend a lot of my time reading or listening to books on anything related to business. I love spending time with my family and friends. Outside of that, I enjoy all things about health… gym, running, nutrition, etc. I’m also the weirdo that listens to an audio-book (or silence) while running or working out.

I grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and West Chester University. I started my insurance career in 2007. I have spent most of my time in this industry working with small to medium size businesses. I enjoy educating our clients on how the insurance industry works and what we need to do to achieve their goals relating to loss control and protecting their business. I love college sports, especially Penn State football and Villanova basketball. I also enjoy golf, fishing, cigars, and craft beer. When I’m not at kids’ sporting events, I will be golfing or watching sports.

I grew up in Lansdowne, PA. I attended Catholic school from kindergarten through college. I have been in the insurance industry for 10 years. I have worked for three different agencies, all of the different sizes. I love problem-solving and being the go-to person to accomplish a task. My best contributions are being loyal and reliable and making my customers and collogues laugh! I enjoy traveling, spending time with loved ones, watching a funny movie or show, and listening to all the latest podcasts! I also love being outside with my family, around a fire pit with friends, or on a beach dominating a game of spike ball!

I’m Don Blizzard, a Producer at Risk Averse Insurance with 19 years of experience in the industry. I grew up in Ridley Park, Delaware County, and attended Valley Forge Military Academy for high school. One of the things I enjoy most about my job is working with small business owners and helping them find the right insurance coverage that gives them peace of mind.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my huge family and coaching my son’s sports teams. I’m also a big fan of golf and live music, and I consider myself a sneakerhead. Playing guitar is another hobby of mine, and I love to collect sneakers too. But my favorite moments are spent playing or coaching sports with my 7-year-old son or hanging out at family parties with all my nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

I was born and raised in Aston, PA. I went through the Penn Delco school system and graduated from Temple University. I’ve been working in the insurance industry for nine years now. I started at Liberty Mutual in 2014 and joined the Risk Averse team in June 2020. I love being able to advise our customers on their insurance. We have various products available and pride ourselves on knowledge and integrity. I also love the day-to-day networking and interactions with like-minded individuals. Like most Delco kids, I grew up a huge Philly sports fan! I’m also big into music, film, and history subjects. As a side gig, I host a weekly Quizzo/trivia game at a local Media establishment. I’m pretty good on a microphone and not shy about being the center of attention. I love to be thorough and always enjoy meeting new people and the fascinating conversations that often come from that. When I’m not spending time with my wife & son, you can usually find me local at a bar/restaurant or the gym. I enjoy live concerts, sporting events, and movies when time allows. I’ve consistently participated in and donated to the Special Olympics of Delaware and their annual Polar Bear Plunge. My wife and I also donate time & resources to the local Providence Animal Shelter. I’m involved in coaching and other school activities my son participates in.

I grew up in the greatest Delco town of Collingdale, bleeding orange and blue. My first job was at Wawa, where I worked while attending Monsignor Bonner Highschool and West Chester University. I also graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Cherry Hill, NJ. After 7 or so years in the mortgage industry I switched gears to insurance. I have about 12 years of experience in the insurance industry working for a local insurance brokerage and now Risk Averse. I put myself in the customer’s shoes, understanding that the object is to get you the best possible price while still having the best coverage. I love getting people a good deal and saving them money. Outworking the competition has given me great success over the years. Helping others has always been something that has given me inner happiness. I am a HUGE fan (some would say fanatic) of the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies & Flyers. Likely, you can’t converse with me without it being brought up. My basement has 6 TVs to ensure I can watch every game in every sport simultaneously. I co-host multiple internet radio podcasts for Edge of Philly Sports. My favorite way to spend the weekend is hanging with my wife, daughter, and two sons doing whatever. I try to donate and volunteer to charities that helps families dealing with childhood cancer. My family has been helped by so many that naming just one of those charities wouldn’t be fair.

I grew up in Ridley, PA and attended Cardinal O’Hara High School and Arcadia University. Since 2006, I’ve been working in insurance, gaining experience in both Personal and Commercial Insurance. What I love most about my job is the opportunity to interact with numerous individuals each day, and the unpredictability of each workday. It’s fulfilling to make one aspect of our client’s life less complicated. Outside of work, I relish taking Pilates classes, visiting coffee shops on the weekends, and spending quality time with my significant other, our two boys, and our adventurous pets (a dog and a cat). One of my favorite hobbies is anything related to Disney World – I’m positively obsessed! On the weekends, you’ll find me at the park with my kids and furry friends, exploring new lunch spots with friends, or simply trying to unwind at home. Lastly, I have a deep passion for neo-natal kitten fostering.

Hey there! I’m Angela Adams, and I’m thrilled to be a Commercial Account Manager at Risk Averse Insurance. New Orleans, Louisiana, is my hometown, and it’s where I was born and raised. My educational journey led me to the University of New Orleans, and that’s where I embarked on my insurance career.

Believe it or not, my insurance journey began when I was still in high school. I started off as a receptionist in my family’s agency and discovered my passion for the industry. After graduating college, I became a licensed producer and have been working as an Account Manager in Commercial Lines for over 17 years now. Time sure flies when you’re doing what you love!

I firmly believe that insurance plays a vital role in businesses, and I take great pleasure in helping my clients navigate the often complex world of insurance. It brings me immense satisfaction to make sure my clients feel valued and understood, going above and beyond to assist them in any way I can.

When I’m not busy with work, I dive headfirst into all things related to health, wellness, and self-improvement. It’s a personal passion of mine that brings me joy and fulfillment. I also find solace and creativity in arts, crafts, and home decor projects whenever I can spare some time.

Family is incredibly important to me. I love watching my boys play sports, and my husband’s coaching brings us all together as a team. Additionally, I find fulfillment in giving back to the community, and I volunteer at my boys’ school whenever my schedule allows.
