Owner Bill Sprague is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He grew up in Darby, PA and now resides in Ridley Twp, PA. He has been in the insurance industry for over 10 years, starting his career as an insurance agent in Newtown Square, PA. During his time there, Bill specialized in insuring high-value homes and vehicles. From there, Bill worked as a project manager with Advisen Ltd in Kennett Square, PA. Here, Bill worked with insurance “big-data,” specifically with regard to large commercial lines of business such as Professional, Management, and Cyber lines of business. For several years after, Bill was the Senior Business Development Manager at Infinity Insurance Company in Philadelphia, Chester County, Delaware County, and Montgomery County. He spent this time working with other insurance agents to understand products, develop new business, and set and meet goals.
With his well-rounded insurance background, Bill opened Risk Averse Insurance in Media, PA in 2015 with the hopes of bringing his customers service options from online tools to good old fashioned face-to-face. He hopes to provide you with top-notch customer service and get you the coverage you need at a price you can afford.
Marc is a graduate of West Chester University where he proudly finished magna cum laude. He has been in the insurance industry for 11 years. Marc spent his first 10 years as an account manager with Kramer-Warner Associates. During this time, he specialized in Commercial insurance with a focus on small to medium sized companies across all business sectors. He was responsible for every aspect of soliciting, developing, and managing insurance portfolios for 400+ businesses. Marc genuinely loves commercial insurance, and it is because of this that he is considered an expert in the field by his colleagues and clients.
Andrew is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University of PA. He grew up in Swarthmore, PA, where he still resides. Andrew has 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with experience at State Farm and as part of the independent agency channel. During his time in the industry, Andrew specialized in business development and networking with both business owners and individuals to garner new relationships.
Always looking to challenge himself, Andrew joined Risk Averse Insurance in 2017 to round out his personal insurance experience with experience in the business insurance industry. Andrew believes in providing a quality insurance product that sufficiently protects the needs of his clients rather than just searching for the cheapest insurance coverage available.
Margaret has been working in the insurance industry, specializing in Commercial Insurance, for 30+ years. She has worked for and learned from some of the best agents in the region. Margaret earned the designation of CISR, Certified Insurance Service Representative, from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Her background and experience enable her to understand the exposures that businesses face and the specific needs that require coverage. She has handled insurance programs for businesses ranging from small to large, including Fortune 500 companies.
Margaret takes pride in making sure your assets are protected and your risk is transferred by way of insurance coverage. In addition, she believes that customer service is essential in that process. “You have to ask the questions that other agents don’t,” because that separates you from the good agent to being great business partner.
